Hump Day!

It was grocery shopping day last night (10% Tuesday), I had to go by myself ~ which is usually fine cause I can take my time and it seems to be a little less stressful. I think I spent the most I have ever spent on groceries though ($300), maybe it's cause I'm pregnant and don't want to run out of things or maybe it's cause last month we went to a different grocery store then we usually do and didn't buy the things we normally buy!?

I'm a list person and more so now that I'm pregnant then I ever was before, I just enjoy being prepared I guess? So I was thinking, I need to make a list of all the things to pack in our bags (baby and mine), I also need to go through the things we already have for baby to see what I still "need" but it will be kinda hard to do that cause I have no where to put anything ~ till the room is done or at least the closet is cleaned out!? I also think I want to make a list of our regular bills, when they come in and for their approximate amounts, I think it will be easier to plan things and have a budget!?

Next month is when we need to renew our registration for our vehicles so hubby got his pink slippy thing in the mail like last week and yesterday he got his tax refund (for the full amount that I calculated which is great!) BUT I still have not got my pink slippy thing in the mail or my tax refund!?!? It makes me wonder if maybe some kid is stealing mail? Last year around this same time of year (tax refund time) people were complaining about lost mail. I wonder if some kid thought that my registration mail might have been a tax refund cause the envelopes kinda look the same? I think I will give it another week but if I still don't get my refund or registration in the mail I might have to make some phone calls!!!

This baby of ours is sure kicking up a storm! They say that since baby is bigger now (about 19" long and 4 1/2lbs) that there is less cushion from the water so babies head/ legs are closer to my skin making every movement much more pronounced! I think my nesting instincts are coming on fast, I feel the need to get things done (even though I have no time) next weekend I plan on going shopping for some of those last minute things that I think we still need, by then I will be starting my 35th week which makes me very anxious! I feel like it doesn't matter how much you plan - you still don't feel totally prepared for a new little one!?

Almost Friday! ~

I think I forgot to mention that my hubby was finally able to feel the baby kick the other night!! :) I don't think our baby is that active compared to other babies or maybe I just have more fluff so I don't feel it as much as skinny moms?! I wanted my hubby to feel the baby so bad that every time baby would start kicking hard I would put my hand on my belly to see if it would continue and to see how hard it felt on my hand but every time I put my hand on my belly baby would stop kicking!?! Almost like by me putting my hand there it comforted baby and put her to sleep!? Then one night we were lying in bed almost asleep and baby was doing huge summer salts I was thinking I should put hubbies hand on my belly but then thought it would probably stop and he would think I woke him up for nothing. I grabbed his hand and placed it on my belly, he was a little confused at first - half asleep, and it took about 4 minutes but then baby kicked/ moved and it felt like Thumper giving hubby three swift kicks to the hand ~ thump, thump, thump ... really fast! We both laughed and then it was over and fell asleep but the next day he was like ... wow - that must feel weird for you!? :P Ahhhh yeah! ;) Nothing like getting the sh*t kicked out of me from the inside! he he

This weekend our dog has a vet appointment, the annual stuff ~ rabies shot etc. Which is good cause we noticed that one of her ears seems to be bothering her lately and that maybe she has a ear infection? I also want the vet to look at her leg - the one she had surgery on in October, it seems to be bigger then her other leg. I think she has a tumor, which is apparently common in older dogs - to get lumps and bumps. We aren't going to do anything about it but I just want to show him and I'm also a little ticked that he didn't mention anything to us when he was operating on her leg that she had lumps in there!? And they would have been there in October, we could have done something about it at the same time as the knee surgery!?

I can't believe I am finally in my last trimester ~ the final stretch!?! :o Everyone said the time would fly by and too try and enjoy it but I remember thinking in the beginning that this baby was never going to get here! 40 weeks seemed like forever and now I'm down to only 13 weeks (give or take)!! I feel like we are somewhat ready for baby to be here, I mean we have the car seat, stroller, crib, change table and monitor - it's just not set up yet or put together! ? I think as soon as I get to 35 weeks I will be more then ready to see this baby and that's only 8 weeks away!! ;)
