Holidays are over! :(

Hopefully everyone had an excellent holiday, I know I sure did!! :) It was busy of course - lots of visiting friends and family, lots of eating, and lots of opening presents!! I will try and give you a quick/ short run down of my holidays and try not to make it too long and drawn out!

I guess everything started Friday, we had our staff x-mas get together. It was OK, kinda weird and awkward but nice? We ordered Chinese food for everyone and had to pitch in $20 - personally I thought that the salesman should have just taken the bill and wrote it off as his expense but whatever? Then we visited for a while, opened presents (I got a smelly Strawberry candle in a jar - which is better then what I got last year) then everyone headed home around 10:30.

Not too much happened Saturday or Sunday - I think I cleaned house a bit and just relaxed. We decided to open our gifts to each other and let the dog have her stalking on Sunday night. We didn't buy each other too much this year, there really is no point in getting ourselves stuff we just buy what we need throughout the year. So my hubby got me a new bath pillow and a few movies, which was nice - not too much.

Monday (Christmas Eve) is when my hubbies family has always celebrated x-mas, that's when Santa comes not at night when you are sleeping like in my family. So we decided to take the kids tobogganing after lunch, then met at his Grandmas for hot chocolate and snacks. Supper was around 5pm then we had to take the kids out to look at x-mas lights and try to spot Santa. Of course while they were gone looking for Santa he stopped in and dropped off all the gifts! Happens every year? he he Gifts were given - I got a bunch of penguin stuff cause I kinda collect it (although lately it is becoming kinda a bore and I think I should start collecting something else ... like money!? LOL) I also got a digital picture frame - which I really wanted! Then headed to the in laws around 10pm - I think? We opened more gifts at the in laws and there was even a stalking for "baby to be" which I think was the best gift I opened all season! It was so cute - a little prayer bunny, two neutral sleepers and about 10 pairs of socks ("thumb warmers" - I called them cause they were so tiny!). The in laws spoiled us, as usual, and our stockings were stuffed. I got a thing so I can listen to my MP3 player in the car, a digital picture key chain, chocolates and hot coco, two candle holders, bath stuff, and a bunch of other things I can't remember cause Santa was way too nice this year!

Christmas Day we headed to my brothers for supper, and watch the kids open their gifts. I got new pics of them (another gift I was really hoping to get) and a home made quilt with hand prints and foot prints of the kids on it! My Dad also got me my baby album, which I am totally looking forward to starting! It is not a traditional baby book though so I may still go buy one where you fill in all the blanks. My brother's family got a Wii from Santa so we hooked it up and were trying it out - I must say I had a blast! I'm not much of a video game person but I had fun boxing! :)

Then Boxing Day was back to my in laws for their annual open house, not too many people were there this year but that is probably cause it fell on a work night? There is always good food at their open house and of course I took full advantage of the fact that I could try a little of everything!! :) It was fun, I think next year will be even more crazy and busy cause it will fall on a Friday and we will have a 6 month old !

So now it is Thursday, I'm back at work and not really enjoying it. My computer is being a complete jerk and keeps telling me it is too hot! grrr It's making me hot and pissed off! I hate this computer! I wish we would have just closed for the next two days and come back in the new year! I'm not feeling too good today and it is snowing like crazy outside!! :( I think I need a holiday from my holiday!!!
