Tuesday thoughts ....

Tomorrow is a big day ..... it is my 1st Prenatal Doctors appointment!! I'm very excited about it - I remember when the appointment was scheduled and it felt like it would take forever to get here and now it is tomorrow!! YEAH! We are not suppose to be having a ultra sound and probably won't be getting one of those till the end of January, this would be our first and maybe even only ultra sound so it better be a good one! ;) We are still undecided about whether or not we want to find out the sex or not - we will decide that at the time. Tomorrow will probably just be a pap, pee in a cup, get weighed and hear the heart beat! Maybe go over any questions I have(which I don't think I do). I'm also excited about this appointment cause my hubby will be joining me for it, a first for him, but it should be exciting for both of us when we hear the heartbeat!

I really need to take some time for a little TLC for myself, with winter here and I think it is a side affect of being pregnant my skin is super dry and itchy! I need to do some serious moisturising! And I would like to maybe get a hair cut before Christmas and I really need to take care of some "extra hair growth" issues which is also apparently a side affect of pregnancy!? And it is probably from my poor diet but my face has been breaking out lately too! I have always had what I thought was bad skin and it seems like even though I'm pregnant every four weeks my face breaks out?! Like my body thinks I should be having TOM? But it could also be my crappy diet! ;)

I also forgot to mention yesterday when I was talking about my new clothes about how I would hate to be any shorter then I am! I have always thought of myself as being fairly tall for a female at 5'7" but what I didn't know about maternity clothes is that they either have pants with a inseam of 30 or 34!! So I either look like I'm ready for a flood or I have to get my pants hemmed!? I have never really been one to put extra effort or money into brand new clothes I buy, I always kind of figured that they are new and should fit they way they are suppose to from that day forward!? hehe If I wanted to buy 'discounted' clothes then I would maybe expect to do a little bit of alterations, but not new ones? So now I need to find a seamstress to hem my black pants I just bought cause they are way too long~! I don't know how my shorter girlfriends did it unless they were lucky and could wear the "petite" pants? I am wearing one of my new outfits today (pair of jeans, white t-shirt and a nice brown hoodie sweater over top), when I tried the pants on the lady said I should be a medium and they did fit pretty good but a little snug in the legs so I opted to go up one size and get the large for a little bit of room to grow just in case. Well I'm now thinking that maybe I should have stuck to the mediums? If I do any physical work, like bend over to fill the dogs food dish, my pants get saggy in the bum and they start to fall off!? I'm sure I will "fill" them in and eventually they will be nice and snug but for now they are a little too big.

Trust me...you will definitely grow into them and maybe even out of them!! Just give it time. :) I'd wash them first then get them hemmed though, b/c they might shrink a little in the dryer...though she did say not to dry them. eh? :)

Good luck at your 1st Appt!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I have itchy skin, too... it was keeping me up last night!

I almost always have to get my pants hemmed by a seamstress... my dry-cleaner does it for $8 per pants. It adds up fast. I only have her do the nicer pants, like dress pants and jeans. Super-casual type pants I just do myself.

Good luck at your appointment! I was so excited at mine that my blood pressure was sky high! LOL
