Hospital tour

The new guy at work seems to be a very nosy man, as I write this I'm paranoid that he is looking over my shoulder to see what I am doing!! gesh - and he is kinda weird!? I'm glad I only have to work with him for another 5 weeks or so!? We will see how the customers like him but I honestly don't think too many people will.

So last night was baby class, this time we had to meet at the hospital and met one of the L&D nurses that works at that hospital. She talked for the first hour or so and then took half the class on a tour and the rest of us stayed behind to learn about PPD (postpartum depression). The L&D (labor & delivery) nurse was so funny!! I almost wanted to go on the tour just to hear what she had to say, even though we don't plan on using that hospital. One thing I learned about this hospital (the Grey Nuns) is that they have three different postpartum rooms - the first is a "semi-private" room where you share it with a room mate and your baby, this is a "free" room. The other room you can get is a "private" room for $40 a night which isn't a bad price (cheaper then a hotel) and you don't have a room mate, and she was saying that now they have "theme" rooms for $110 a night which include a phone/ TV and are painted a little nicer, o and they have a double bed instead of a hospital bed so your partner can sleep with you instead of on the cot. I am using a hospital that all rooms are private LDR rooms (labor, delivery and recovery) everything is in the one room, you don't get moved down the hall to a recovery room and your baby never leaves your side unless there is an emergency. It's a private room and free for everyone! I booked our tour with this hospital for June 2nd, we have to pay $5 for the tour which isn't bad I suppose and it is in the evening so I don't have to miss any more work.

Since we finished class a little early we stopped in at the in laws for a quick visit, hubby had to talk to FIL about the fence building project they are doing this weekend. It felt like a pretty rushed day yesterday so I'm glad that there are no plans for this evening. I just need to catch up on some house work - laundry and dishes. It's hard to stay on top of house work when you work 7 days a week and are too tired after a long day at work! I feel more tired now then I did throughout the entire pregnancy, probably because of the weight gain.

FYI grey nuns is not free at all. We had a semi private room with Harley (he never left my side either) and it cost us 210 to stay there which had to be paid before we left the hospital. So strongly check into that and see what all you have to pay for. Hopefully your hospital is better.
