update

So - here are a few pics of our camping trip to Alberta Beach, it was a nice trip - the weather was great!! And we got to go on the boat a few times, Jacob didn't care for the life jacket but really liked the boat. Jacob and I spent a lot of time walking around, checking out the sites and playing at the park. I'm looking forward to future camping trips however it would be nice if next time I had a friend and Jacob had a friend to hang out with as well!?

Then last weekend we headed to Peers, AB for a wedding. It was nice, we also camped out there so it felt more like a family reunion then a wedding. This week has flown by as well, on Monday I took Jacob to go see my Dad (cause it's been a while). He seemed OK, he is thinner then ever and told me was falling down more now. He also mentioned that he is depressed and he called Jacob Austin a few times (Austin is my brothers son). Then I find out the next day that my SIL had to call and ambulance for him and he was rushed to the hospital. He is super dehydrated and is now on a list for a hospice, he probably won't be coming home.

I have been on the search for a bike trailer/ carrier for Jacob so that we can go for bike rides together but the idea of me on a bike kinda intimidates me!! I don't think I have been on a bike since I was 16!! My hubby found me a used bike but it is a little advance for me and I'm worried that it is too fancy for a simple bike ride. I found a cheap bike carrier on kijiji (our local craiglist) and went to look at it Tues night, it wasn't very nice - I'm worried if I get a cheap one that the wheel will fall off as I'm towing Jacob or that parts might be missing!? I think I might just go get a new one!? I saw one at Canadian Tire for $250 and it looked OK online, I might go tonight to look/ buy it!! :)

Last night it was just Jacob and I so I took him out for supper to Boston Pizza, I love one of the salads they have there and they are pretty kid friendly. Jacob was pretty good, until he finished his supper and wanted to go NOW!! He had a fit, it was kinda embarrassing, he wanted to go to the park (that I promised we would after supper). So after his freak out I went home instead and told him it was unacceptable to behave like that, he of course freaked out more that we went home and not the park. So I asked if he wanted to still go to the park we would walk there and he had had to be a good boy. He was... he stopped and he was even good walking home too until he made a wrong turn and I tried to point him in the right direction!! Then another tantrum hit .... I suppose it's expected ... he is 2 now! :( I also think it is due to lack of sleep, he has been going to bed later now (usually around 10pm), it's hard to get him to go down earlier cause the sun is shinning and sometimes we are busy out and about.

This weekend I still plan on taking Jacob to Fort Edmonton Park (weather permitting), we will probably do that Saturday and then on Sunday the Moms group wants to have a get together and I will have to go visit my Dad. There is also a festival in the city this week so I would like to try and take Jacob to a few street performers. Circuit de soleil is also in town and I really want to go to it but hubby isn't too crazy about going. I finally convinced him to go with me but after everything that has happened I changed my mind. It's too expensive and I just don't feel up to it, hubby would probably complain the whole time anyway. :(
