Baby class

Well we had another Mom and tot class and I must say that I am a little sad that next week is our last week already!? I wish the class was longer, just when I'm starting to get to know the other Mom's it's over!! I don't even know every ones name yet! :( I almost want to sign up again for another session, I did however sign up for Mom and tot swim classes, they start Oct 21st and I'm pretty excited about that but it is also a pretty short class and only has 8 lessons (twice a week, so only 4 weeks long). There are other classes I could go to in my neighborhood but I think it would be nicer to get to know the same moms not new moms at every class? Anyway ~ at our last class we had a dental hygienist and a librarian as guest speakers. They were informative and as a matter of fact I went to the library today and got Jacob his very own library card (it was free and they gave him a free book too!!). I even used his card and signed out a few books now I just have to make sure to get them back in time! Library's sure have changed a lot since the last time I was in one, they have computers in there some for adults and some specific just for kids. There was even a little boy that looked to be about 4 playing a game on one!!

The hygienist was also a good guest speaker and gave us all free tooth brushes (one for us and one for baby), she was telling us how they don't recommend "sippy cups" at all anymore and to just teach your kid to drink out of a cup or straw. The nutritionist said the same thing the week before, sippy cups are only good for car rides and if you do use them you should take the stopper thing out before giving it to the kid!? I think next week is on safety and I have a few questions on bathing. I'm curious to know what other Moms are using for baths right now cause Jacob is too small for the big tub but he's too big for the baby tub and last night I tried bathing with him in the big tub but to me baths are suppose to be a relaxing time and I'm not really into sitting in 3 inches of luke warm water! To me a bath is so hot that it turns my skin pink and you can see the steam coming off the water!! So I sat in Jacobs 3 inches of luke warm water and then after he was done I had to add more hot water but by then I was bored of being in the tub!? Any ideas? I was thinking of picking up one of those seat things that you put baby in and I think it sticks to the bottom of the tub but then you have to try and wash baby with this seat in the way!?

Today is hubby and my 3 year anniversary!! We probably aren't doing too much for it, I think we will go for supper but not until October when things are a little less busy. This week is just too busy, tomorrow Jacob has a doctor appointment and I need to go see the scrapbook lady to pick up things I paid for but needed to be ordered. Then Friday is racing at the track and I think I will go visit my Grandparents. Surprisingly there is no races on Sat or Sun but I think hubby will be busy in the garage trying to finish a car he has been working on for a while but is almost done and I have a b-day party to attend. And I would really like to clean my car out before winter comes, and before we know it - it is already Oct! That's about all for now, I'm tired today even though lately Jacob has been sleeping 11-12 hours !! I'm amazed that he is sleeping that long already but unfortunately when he sleeps that long at night that means he doesn't nap during the day so all my "free time" is after he goes to bed at 8pm. I'm not complaining though I really like that he lets us sleep in till 7ish!! ;) Here is a pick of him playing with the rings, notice his tongue sticking out as he is trying to figure out what they are! he he

Lots of good things today ....

Lots of good things are happening today, I had a dentist appointment this morning which might not really be a 'good' thing but it went well. They said that my gums actually looked like they have improved since last time I was there, which is odd cause usually when your pregnant they get worse? I think it's cause I changed my toothbrush to a electric one. The lady that cleans your teeth gave me babies first tooth brush!! :) You just put it on your finger and it kinda massages their gums. Of course after my fluoride treatment they told me not to eat or drink for half an hour!! Yeah right!! I was starving so that wasn't going to happen but then I never listen to them ! ;) he he They also wanted to give me x-rays but when I stood up they realized that I was pregnant and opted out on the x-rays.

Today is also the first day of spring!! :) And I am under 100 days now !!! YEAH !!! O - and it is Friday cause we are closed tomorrow for Easter!! This day just can't get much better!! ;) LOL

Yesterday after work I went to the lab to do my gestational diabetes test, I knew I would have to hang out at the lab for an hour and drink some gross drink but honestly it wasn't that bad!? The drink was like really bubbly orange Crush and the time kinda flew by. Hopefully I passed, I would hate to have another issue with this pregnancy! My doctor doesn't think I have anything to worry about, there is no family history of diabetes and she says you won't fail the test just cause you eat high sugar foods. It's in your genes so if your going to get it your going to get it no matter what you eat!? Even though she said that I still tried to eat less sugar yesterday.

Not too many plans for this weekend .... again! I might have to go babysit my niece and nephew on Sat but that is still up in the air!? I will probably do some spring clean/ nesting activity this weekend, along with regular house cleaning stuff and since it is Easter we will have to have fish on Friday (maybe we can go out for that cause I don't eat fish or cook it) I would rather a chicken or turkey for supper but hubby is Catholic so fish it is! :)
