4 months

JACOBS SITTING!!!

Well kinda .... he can sit for short periods but long enough for me to snap a pic!! :) A few days ago I snapped another pic of him sitting but today I got this pic and his posture is much better then a few days ago! It's funny though cause he still isn't rolling over and when he has tummy time he isn't lifting his head quite at 45 degrees yet? But he's sitting?! I guess we just have to work more on tummy time and rolling over (although I think he is pretty close to rolling over). I just love watching him reach all his milestones and learning new things. Lately he has been doing what I call "motor boat" sounds, he is using two syllable sounds (eg. ahh-ooo then usually followed by "motor boat") and is starting to put everything in his mouth.

We have a banquet to attend at the end of the month and we are planning a sleep over!! Yes I am having anxiety issues over it (he is only 4 months old) but I know that if I am having a really hard time dealing with it my inlaws would not be surprised if I steal my baby back. Although I'm going try really really hard to not worry and to believe Jacob is in good hands and I will just be over really really early to pick him up!! ;) Things are still a little tough right now, I'm starting to think that this Mommy this is a snap but marriage and dealing with my hubby is the hard part! Hopefully everything will work out and eventually get easier. I'm a strong believer in the "rule of three", things seem to test you in three's and this is our third year of marriage!? When I quit smoking the hardest times were 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months and by 3 years you knew you were smoke free. I think this applies for most things in life and hopefully we will get through our third year of marriage with only a few issues.

Jacob's up from his afternoon nap so I must go attend to him, maybe work on rolling over?!
