Day 1 on IP

~Day 1~

So, today is day #1 on IP and so far I suppose it's not too bad, last night I went shopping. Bought my olive oil (2 different kinds, one has garlic in it the other is Extra Virgin). I bought a variety of veggies and a new vitamin/ pill organizer to keep track of the vitamins.

When I got home I got busy cooking up my chicken breasts, Jacob helped me rip up my lettuce for salad and I cut all my veggies. I feel like I am well prepared to do well at this diet - now to just follow the plan!!

So this morning I thought it would be a good idea to make the vanilla drink and add it to my coffee (since I usually have vanilla creamer with my coffee). But I soon realized that I only had vanilla pudding so I thought the cappuccino one might be the same. On my way to work I realized I had forgotten my shaker!! I was soo excited to use my new shaker too and almost opted to start tomorrow instead of today and just buy my lunch today. But no .. I stayed strong and figured out a way to still make my shakes without my fancy new ball shaker.

When I got to work I made the cappuccino drink, tried some ... it was good, frothy and tasted like coffee. I added some to my coffee and tried that ... bad idea! Note to self - do not mix cappuccino mix with coffee! It wasn't horrible but it would have been better by itself. I think I will stick to tea since I only need a little Splenda in that.

So far today I had some cucumbers with my salt, they were good. And now I am getting hungry again. All morning I was worried that if I ate my lunch too early that I would be starving later so I keep watching the clock to see when a appropriate lunch time would be. I think now would be good, I "feel" hungry. I have 2 cups of mixed veggies and about 2 cups of lettuce. My only decision now is to add my veggies to the lettuce for a huge salad eat them separately. I also have another shake (chocolate) that I think I will save for later in the afternoon. When I packed my lunch last night I was soo worried that I would be starving all day but honestly it's not too bad ... yet! :)

update from cheat week

Well, my "cheat week" wasn't so bad - after a week of snacking more then usual and going through the occasional drive thru I didn't even gain a pound so what did I do .... had another "cheat week" !!! LOL It's so hard for me to stop snacking once I started which is probably why I don't usually allow myself to have a "cheat day" cause I know it wouldn't stop at the end of the day! But surprisingly after TWO cheat weeks I still have not gained and only maintained, which I suppose is good but I still want to loose another 25 pounds so I best get back on the diet train and try again to loose more weight!!! I think I've gotten most of my cravings out of my system and can go back to eating fruits and veggies!

I have a meeting on Thursday with my boss, I guess that means I pretty close to going back to work! He wants to know when I am headed back and to be quite honest I am very eager to go back to work! I would never give up any of the time I have had with Jacob and I'm so grateful to have enjoyed the year off with him (I know some women don't get that opportunity) but some days I am so exhausted and frustrated. It's not like Jacob can say to me "You did a very good job today as a Mom and I had lots of fun" or "you know Mom I really don't like mashed potatoes and wish you wouldn't give them to me anymore"! And even though I know I must be doing something right cause I can see him growing mentally and physically it's just nice to hear the words sometimes. I think I'm also a little house bound too, even though I try to get out at least once a day I still feel like this house is small - I can only do laps around the kitchen so many times before I get bored and I'm sure Jacob is too! It will be better when summer is here and we can play outside more!

On a plus note, I think Jacob is growing cause boy does he ever sleep good now!! His naps are long and he sleeps through the night, although his bedtime has been later (around 9pm) but I'm OK with that, as long as he sleeps through the night!

I'm not much of a reader but decided to give Twilight a chance (I'm sure you've heard of the book), it's AMAZING!!! I just finished it and feel the need to read it again just in case I missed something the first time but I also want to start reading the next book to see what happens! I've NEVER had this dilemma before, usually when I finish the odd book I never feel the need to read it again!? And I never thought I would be interested in a vampire book! It gives me chills just thinking about it and the way the author describes the feelings between Bella and Edward give me goose bumps!! Seriously a good book, I should have bought the set like everyone said!

So besides not sticking to my diet and staying up way too late reading Twilight I haven't really been up to much!? I'm excited and yet upset that my time with Jacob is coming to an end but I'm looking forward to the days when Jacob can play with my girlfriends boys since it seems like all my friends have boys - it should be lots of fun in a few years when they can all walk and talk.

week 10 weigh in

Well not much has changed for week 10, I never lost but I never gained!? It's kinda the way I loose weight I think ... one week I don't loose much and the next week I loose a pound or two, so I'm hoping for a big number next week! There is only two more weeks of the contest left and some of the Mom's think I might be close to win, I however don't think I will - unless I get really active and shed lots of weight the next two weeks!

In other news.... I don't think I mentioned that the Easter Bunny came early this year and brought us a Wii and Wii fit! I'm really enjoying the Wii fit and try to get on it for 30 minutes each day. I like the step aerobics and the hula hoop the best, and I can really feel the burn from the hula hoop! It was kinda sad though when I created my "Mii" and she went from thin too super chunky! It says I'm obese and my Mii kinda waddles around!? So sad!! :(

I also got a new cell phone, a Blackberry flip phone which I must say I'm totally addicted too! I often check Facebook with it and I'm really liking Sudoku (which I used to hate). So I find myself getting on this computer less and just checking what's new on my phone.

I go back to work in two months!! I'm kinda freaking out about it and I'm kinda excited, I wish I could go back part time but my job doesn't offer that. I do like the idea that we won't have to put Jacob in daycare and that Dad is going to get a small taste of what it is like to be a "stay at home Dad". I think the hardest part about being a stay at home parent is the "stay at home" part! I thrive off of schedules and love the idea that I know what is happening week after week. Now that swimming is over and I am free on Tues and Thurs I find myself getting stir crazy and desperately searching for something to do! I need to get out of the house and now that it is getting nice out I'm hoping it will be easier to find things to do!

Well Jacob is napping now for who knows how long? Sometimes it's only 30 minutes and other days he goes for 3 hours!! Then after he wakes I have to take the dog to the vet to get her nails trimmed (one is about to fall off and a few are way too long - she has a nail condition where the sheath on the nail falls off). Then there is a meeting tonight for the race track that I need to attend and fill out my paperwork. This weekend is also a busy one, birthday parties, coffee date with "old" friends and visiting family. Better go see what else is new on other blogs !!

2 weeks

So we are now two weeks into my mat leave and things seem to be going fairly well! ? I find that some days I barely have time to eat and other days I sit here trying to think of things to do. He seems to be getting into somewhat of a routine, he likes to stay up in the morning for a few hours and usually has a long nap between 11am and 3pm, then we usually go for a walk and he goes back to sleep around 8pm for the rest of the night (of course waking every 3 hours or so to eat but then he goes back to bed pretty easy). For the first two weeks I was writing down every time he ate and how much, how many bowel movements and wet diapers he had but I don't think I will do that anymore!? There are some days that I look at him and think he is so new and everything about this is new but then there are days that I feel like he has been here forever and I couldn't imagine life without him? It's so weird but I guess in a way he has been with me for 9 months!? If I go out shopping without him I feel like I'm missing something, like his little punches and gabs in me, or maybe it's just me missing his presence? I'm still not sure if I will be able to go back to work at the track and leave him for 8 hours with a sitter!? I still have a few weeks before the first race back so we will have to see how I am then!?

It has been really hot for the past couple days but surprising Jacob hasn't been too cranky about it, in fact I think the heat makes him sleepy and extra thirsty, so I feel like I have been changing more diapers then usual but at least I know he isn't dehydrated!

We don't really have too much planned for the next few days, we were suppose to go to a wedding out of town this weekend but have decided to stay home instead, he doesn't seem to like his car seat too much yet and after about an hour in the car he starts to get cranky. So instead I have dropped off some pictures to get developed (the birth pics - so I'm very excited to see them, I just hope that hubby took LOTS of pics!), they need to be picked up tomorrow and I received his birth certificate in the mail yesterday so now I can go get him his SIN number. Other then that I don't think there is anything else planned, I might try and do some visiting this week just to get out of the house. Or if it isn't too hot out I would like to do a little baking.

That's about all for now - I better go have lunch now, while he is still sleeping! :)

Not much .....

Today is suppose to be a really nice day, too nice to be working inside if you ask me! ;) The long weekend is also suppose to be a nice one with a high of 28C on Sat!! I'm glad my mom and I are planning on going shopping that day, I won't have to worry about the heat in an air conditioned mall!! Although I haven't really been that hot throughout this entire pregnancy and for the most part I need to wear slippers and sweaters still? I guess my "oven" isn't on high? Speaking of ovens, I think ours is one step closer to going in to the dump! Last night I was cooking up chicken breasts for supper and even though I had the burner set to med it seemed to be cooking on high!? Which is the opposite from the oven, I have to add degrees to the cooking temp or add time to make sure things are cooked properly.

I don't feel 100% today, my ribs/ back is sore and my belly is tight. I think baby might be growing again? Being so close to my due date I sometimes get nervous when things feel different. On the DDC (due date club) forum I go on there has already been some early births of babies that were suppose to be due in June!! ? I don't think I will be one of them but everyone is surprised when I tell them that I plan on working up to or close to the due day!? I just don't think I would be very productive at home sitting around waiting for something to happen!? And this way I get to spend more time with baby after it is born! I am now down to counting days not weeks!! It sounds closer - 6 weeks vs. 43 days!! :o I can't wait to go shopping this weekend - hopefully I won't go too overboard on spending!! ;) I already told hubby that if he doesn't want to know the sex of baby then he can't see what I buy! I was also thinking that I wanted to make more dog biscuits (peanut butter ones) this weekend and maybe do some gardening. Although I will have to be kinda careful digging in the dirt in case any kitties decided to use my garden as a litter box! Last year I waited too long to buy my flowers (worried about frost) and there was hardly any left to choose from! This year I would like to be able to have a better pick but I'm still worried about frost so I might have to store them in the garage for a few weeks! ;)

Winter's back !!

Winter is back with a vengeance! I think we got more snow this weekend then we have all winter! It's amazing to think that last weekend we were outside racking leaves and trimming the hedge and this weekend hubby was outside in his insulated coveralls shoveling knee deep snow!!! :o So needless to say this weekend was pretty uneventful, I stayed in the house cleaning and baking cookies and hubby went to the car show for 7 hours!!! Thank goodness the FIL came over on Sunday to help on the basement or it probably wouldn't be much further along then it was last weekend~! FIL mudded all the walls (the first coat) and it probably needs one more coat then hubby can put some primer on the walls. Racing was suppose to start this weekend coming up but with all the snow we just got I don't think it's going to happen, which could be a good thing cause we also have our bowling banquet so maybe now hubby can work more on the basement .... if racing is cancelled! ?

I have two doctors appointments this week, one on Wednesday with the gallbladder surgeon (kinda like a consultation I think?) and one on Thursday for my 31 week appointment except that my doctor took two weeks off to go to Cuba so I have to see a different doctor - one I've never seen before ?! I finally got our personal taxes done on the weekend and I must say I am quite happy with our return!! :) Hopefully the tax program figured everything out properly!!

Feels like it's going to be a long week

It sure feels like it should be at least Wednesday by now? I think because we had Friday off last week and we don't usually get Friday's off, usually it's Monday that is the holiday so it makes this week feel different? Or maybe it's just me?! he he I feel like my emotions are on a roller coaster lately, happy, sad, angry, annoyed ~ I feel them all, like every 20 minutes? I'm tired of working and wish I could start my mat leave early.

I had a creepy phone call last night on my cell, it was from this guy that apparently had a booth setup at that welcome wagon thing I went too a few months ago. His booth was on financial saving, which I do not remember at all? He kept telling me how he would be in my area in the next few days and wanted to stop in and talk to us about saving money and such? I thought it was creepy that this guy had my number and my address!? So I said no ~ I didn't want to hear his tips on saving and how he "saved himself $84,000 on his mortgage without changing his monthly payments"!? And he kept telling me about how "not everyone wants financial stability" and pretty much told me that I was being naive!? I just thought it was creepy that someone I don't even know has more info on me then I would like him too already ... like I want him to know about our finances? If I felt the need to go see a financial advisor I would make an appointment at their office and go see them ? This would be why I don't like going to those welcome wagon things or bridal show things where you have to register with them cause I didn't enter any draws while I was there so clearly the company putting on the welcome wagon sold my info to this guy and now I'm getting creepy phone calls!? :(

Another week .....

Here is the latest and greatest pic of baby .... I like how this pic shows more facial definition, you can see a cute little button nose and little pouty lips! :) This pic was taken last week (25 weeks), so they could see the heart chambers better. As for our weekend, it was pretty good ... mostly uneventful, Friday we went out to Red Lobster so hubby could have his fish and I had grilled chicken. I started cleaning out the room that is going to be the babies room by moving the bookshelf and hope chest that were in that room. Now they are in out living room, which really isn't big enough for all that furniture but there is no where else to put it till the basement is finished!? I had to babysit my niece and nephew on Saturday, only for four hours but it seemed like longer! We decorated Easter eggs and played this bunny game. After my SIL woke up we had a quick visit and I headed to my Dads then to my girlfriends for more visiting. I made some Turkey Noodle Soup for lunch this week but haven't tried it yet, it smells and looks good though! Today I brought that 'buckwheat' casserole I made but I don't like it very much, I'm not even going to post that recipe cause its not very good. Yesterday we tried out the dehydrator and I cut up some bananas and apples, the apples aren't too bad but they told me to soak them in lemon juice first and they taste really lemony now... I don't think I would soak them next time. And the banana chips don't look so good? Hubby tried them and said they taste powdery? I don't think we will bother trying to do fruit in it anymore, we will just use it to make jerky (which my hubby makes pretty darn good!). If I want dried fruit I think it is best to just buy it at the store!? ;) That's about all for the weekend, nothing too exciting ~ I'm excited that summer is almost here, pretty soon we will be busy with outside activities! :)

TGIF

Finally .... Friday is here, and next week will be a short one - extra short for me cause I have an ultrasound on Tuesday that I will have to step out for and I have a dentist appointment on Thursday that is first thing in the morning on the other side of town so I will be in late. Then Friday is Good Friday and we are closed!!! :) I don't think we have too much planned for this weekend, we will be buying our insulation for the basement on Saturday cause there is a sale on at Home Depot and Sunday we will do our visiting cause we haven't done that for a very long time. I want to borrow hubbies Grandma's dehydrator when we are there so I can make some "healthy" snacks and I need to bring all the fabric I cut for the diapers to the other Grandparents house for hubbies aunt to pick up. Other then that .... I don't think I have anything planned?! I'm not sure what the weather is suppose to be like but hopefully it is somewhat nice out and I can get some fresh air, take the dog for a walk, maybe do some shopping? Bowling was OK last night, I'm still counting down till we are done but we played a fun team and even though we didn't get home till almost midnight the night seemed to go by fast?

Productive weekend!

I feel like I had a very productive weekend and although I don't quite remember the exact order I did everything in, I feel like I got a lot done! :) I did quite a bit of baking - for me this time, and made more of the low fat oatmeal raisin cookies I made before and I also baked some low fat chocolate chip cookies which I thought were so good! Better then my other recipe that I used to make all the time but has a ton of fat in them! (those are hubbies cookies) he he I made some vegetarian chili which was pretty good, a little too acidity ~ I think next time I will leave out the tomato paste!? Other then that it was good, then I made some tuna macaroni salad which I also really like but hubby isn't too crazy about, and the best thing about it is that it is almost fat free! ;) I will have to post recipe's for the salad and chocolate chip cookies sometime this week!

I also got all my fabric cut for the diapers and was actually quite surprised that there was not very much material left over, maybe enough to do two receiving blankets or three rags? Now I just have to get them over to the aunts, who apparently isn't in too much of a hurry for them. She told me on bowling night that there was no rush, the diapers she made would last me quite awhile (they are smaller then the one's I was cutting out). But I will make sure she gets all the stuff this weekend, then it is out of my house! ;) I did a good clean on the house, washing floors, bathrooms, windows and vacuuming! Got most of the laundry done (a chore that never seems to be 'finished') and I took the dog for a couple walks! We rented a movie on pay per view Saturday night 'The Game Plan' - it was pretty good, I like the bulldog in this movie ... super cute! I found the ending to be quite sad but hubby says it wasn't so it must just be my hormones!? I also balled like a baby when I watched Grey's Anatomy (a show I don't usually watch but since the writers strike I have been and wish I would watch it more), it was super sad!! :( I think my emotions are finally coming out a bit?

It was so nice this weekend, I actually sat on the front step for a while enjoying the sun and warm breeze. Looking at all the spring clean up that needs to be done to the yard! I'm hoping that this year my lilies and tulips do much better then last year cause I probably won't be doing too much in the flower beds this year! I found out this weekend that one of our friends is also now expecting their first, she is still really early (only 6 weeks) so they aren't quite telling everyone yet. So now that makes three for me, three other people I know are having babies this year! I'm excited for my doctors appointment on Wednesday, I have a few questions for her - most of which I can't remember of course! ;) But I do want to ask about this awful aftertaste I have been having lately? I hope she can recommend more then just gum and candies?! Maybe it's from something I'm eating too much of? Like too much dairy or iron!? Or maybe it's just a pregnancy thing? :P

Happy Friday! :)

For being a Friday I'm awfully irritable today, mostly because of my computer ~ I've re-booted twice now and it still seems slow, when I type it's like the keys can't keep up to my fingers and letters are missing in words, then I have to go back and fill in all the missing letters!? It's very irritating! I'm also annoyed cause the other guy I work with had to go back to his doctors this morning, something about blood pressure, so I had to come in early again!? Must be nice to go to all your doctors appointments! ? And I think I'm just generally hormonal today, making me grumpy!? Bowling last night was pretty rough, I only had one good game and I think because we did a lot of walking at the hardware stores before bowling my legs were more tired then usual. All night I had bad leg cramps that I had to keep massaging out. I'm glad it's the weekend, I don't have too much planned. My girlfriend and her family are suppose to come over for a visit, I'd like to do a little baking (for hubby this time), finish cutting the fabric for diapers and maybe wash floors! ? Hubby will be in the basement for probably the entire weekend, pulling wire and finishing other things. The plan is to be done drywall/ mud and taping by the end of March!? I think it is do-able, but then I'm not the one doing any of the work!? Hubby also suggested that once all the drywall work is done that we get the furnace cleaned, something I never really thought of and something that hasn't been done since we moved in (2 1/2 years ago) so it is time to get it done anyway!? I thought it was a good idea.

Thursday

Just another day, really ~ this week just hasn't been very exciting?! ;) No doctor visits, no trips to the emergency, not a whole heck of a lot really!! ? Last night I made "Turkey Chicken soft tacos" I couldn't find ground turkey at the store so I went with ground chicken instead. I thought they tasted really good, hubby thought it could have used a few more veggies like mushrooms and maybe some noodles (so it would be more like a Bad Ass wrap). I will try to post the recipe tomorrow. Tonight is bowling night again, which I'm not too excited about ... but there is only about 5 weeks left in this season, and then the race season starts!! :) Before bowling tonight we are going shopping for light fixtures for the basement and we will probably window shop for bathroom stuff (toilet, vanity, cabinets, etc.) just to get an idea of how much we will need to save for that. I can't really think of anything else that is going on... pretty boring hey!? :P

Happy Friday and a Long Weekend!

Went bowling last night, for the first time in three weeks! It was OK -of course I sucked but at least it got us out of the house! ;) Everyone had to ask how I was which was nice and we ended up getting home at 11ish.

Today is really nice out, it's in the plusses but last night we had freezing rain so the roads this morning were terrible! I think I saw 6 cars in the ditch and one really bad accident on the highway this morning! I kept thinking that I forgot my cell phone at home so I drove pretty cautious. I also think that I drive slightly different now that I know there is a baby in me! I feel like I should get one of those "baby on board" signs and put it on my car even though baby technically isn't here yet! ? ;)

I booked an appointment for the UC Baby thing yesterday (April 12) but now I'm debating if I really want to spend that kind of money on something like that? The lady said you get a disk with 30-100 pictures on it (depending on how co-operative baby is) but that got me thinking .... just how many pictures do you really need of baby in the womb!? You could make a whole album of just womb pictures!? Granted they would be super cute and you would never be able to get pics like that again but honestly it seems like a lot of pictures!? I wonder if they would be like my wedding pics and just sit there on a disc to be looked at maybe once a year!? I think I will see if they have any smaller packages, like maybe 20 pics for less money!? I mean ~ I still have another ultrasound and I will get more pics there, so that will give me 4 pics, which I think may be enough for a scrapbook page?! I'm just not sure and I don't want to regret my decision later it's not like I can change my mind after baby is born!? But $150-$200 seems like a big chunk of change!?

As for the weekend.... supposidly hubby is going to start on the basement reno's!! :O FIL is coming over to help so it might actually get started!? ;) Hubby wants to start on the laundry room so I have to make sure I get all my laundry (or most of it) done tonight, cause the washer/ dryer will be out of order for a few days. Then on Sunday we are suppose to go for dinner with my Dad to celebrate his 55th birthday, I think we will go to Montana's and I can have fajita's. I was looking online at all the restaurants nutritional charts and Montana's seems to have the most low fat choices. Then Monday is a holiday (Family Day) a holiday that is usually too cold to do anything with your family!? We have no plans for this day -- probably just catch up on house work and maybe do some more baking, I'm almost out of muffins! :P On Tuesday we have our first "early Prenatal" appointment, I guess it is like a preview of what's to come when you go to the actual class in a few months ? That's about all ... have a good weekend! :)

Monday Morning

The weekend went by way to fast, probably cause we were fairly busy?! Friday night we went over to the inlaws to see how FIL's trip to Cancun was. Sounded like he had a really good time, how could you not with the sandy beaches and sun all day long? ;) Then Saturday hubby and I went out to my brothers to babysit the kids. That was pretty uneventful, my nephew had soccer most of the afternoon and my niece slept most of the afternoon so all we really had to do was feed them lunch and keep them entertained for a few hours. It was nice to see them again, we left at 5:30 and headed for supper, I was going to stop by my Dad's house and give him his copies of the ultrasound pics but since it was so late and we were hungry we decided not to. His birthday is this Friday anyway so we will go over there then. Then on Sunday I went to the Welcome Wagon thing with my Mom, it wasn't half as big as I thought it would be and the room was very crowded! With all the baby buggies and my Mom's walker, then they had all these chairs set up in the middle of the room for presentations and the booth's around the edges. It got a little squishy once the room filled up! I was surprised to see booths for the Bridal Shower, ReMax (real estate) and a booth full of candles? There was really only one booth that I found usefull and that was the diaper service one. She asked if she could tell me about their diapers and I mentioned how we are making our own cloth diapers but I had a few questions about using either a 'wet' or 'dry' pail for the dirty diapers. She explained the differences to me pretty good and sudgested the dry pail as being the better way to go. She also said that I could buy their pail (which was really nice) and if I needed any rubber pants they sell them as well. My MIL already bought enough rubber pants though so I won't be needing anymore of them, it's not like you have to change them everytime you change a diaper!? But I definately think I will buy their pail with some air fresheners! I'm not sure if I would go again to a welcome wagon, I didn't get any coupons and only a few free things - one tiny sample of bum cream, one diaper, some pencils, a candle and Smarties from the Tupperware booth? I thought I would get more coupons or maybe even win a door prize!! :) We left before all the prize's were handed out and headed for lunch. But first we stopped and played some nickle slots at the casino! Of course I lost, I don't play very often and really had no idea what I was doing!? I baked some banana blueberry muffins when I got home, they turned out really good - I will have to post the recipe here tomorrow. They were low fat to begin with but then I subed a few things to make it even less fat and it still turned out really good, I was actually kinda surprised! ;) LOL

Hump Day!! :)

I suppose if I think about it time really is flying by! I am in my 13th week almost officially done the 1st trimester and after today my due date will be less then 190 days or 27 weeks! I'm still glad that is going by fast but that is only because I am still having bad days like yesterday. If I was feeling good then I think I would be enjoying it more? I can hardly wait for all the Christmas festivities, starting with our office party this Friday!

Today is a "feel good" day, you know one of those days that your hair seems to fall in the right place with minimal effort and you feel good about the clothes you are wearing. I feel like that today, with a mild tummy ache!? he he But I'm getting kinda used to my tummy doing flip flops. Everyone says that when the baby starts kicking it will feel like butterflies in my tummy but I already feel like that, I think I have always had a "talkative tummy" where it rumbles or has like a butterfly type feeling in it? I think it is still way way way too early to feel the baby kicking, I'm just not sure if it will be like everyone says? And how can you enjoy getting beaten up from the inside out? ;)

mini-friday!

I didn't sleep so well last night, between waking up in night sweats and having some bad dreams it wasn't a very good night's sleep! I think I may have to try and have a nap tonight before bowling or I may not last the night! ?

Not too much new has happened, I think I am starting to get a belly? I haven't gained much weight (3-4lbs) but my "fat" pants or starting to get tight! So I think I will probably go shopping in Dec. for some maternity clothes?! It should be fun -even though I have no idea where to shop? I also can't believe how strong my nails are! Usually I have brittle nails that I keep short cause they always split or break but lately they are really nice - no breaking or chipping and they are strong!

I so excited that it is already the end of November! Not only is Christmas just around the corner but so is my next doctors appointment where we get to hear the heartbeat! Then shortly after that ..... the ultrasound!! I can hardly wait to see our little "cub" on the screen and see it moving around! :)

Our south side store is moving this weekend (well they actually started moving a week ago) so they will be closed tomorrow - this means that ALL their customers will probably be phoning us! I will be extremely busy tomorrow so probably no blog!? :( I'm actually looking forward to having the phone ring off the hook, it should be exciting! Hopefully I don't get too stressed over it!? ;)

Friday!

I'm kinda grumpy today, don't know why just everything seems to irritate me a little more then before! ? So far today things have been going good but they usually do in the morning (it's the evenings that are painful). Not only is it Friday (YAH) but my MIL made cauliflower schnitzel last night and gave me a little bag full!! YUM!! So of course I already ate it and wish I had more - It was so tasty! Maybe I'll buy a head of cauliflower this weekend and make some more! ;)

Tomorrow is my brother's wife's daughters birthday (did you follow that?) - so she is like my step niece I guess but I usually just refer to her as my niece cause she is part of the family now. Anyway she invited us out for dinner, Kelsey's, it should be nice - I just have to pick up a gift for her now, probably a gift card for Lasenza Girl.

We had bowling last night, I sucked! he he It's OK though cause we just play for fun and to get out of the house. I always try and take a nap before bowling cause it is usually a long night and we don't get home till 11ish but I am having such a hard time napping. I never really was a napper and usually I feel worse after I wake up, although I'm sure that will change with lack of sleep naps will start looking like a good idea! ;)

Top secret ....

~ My story ~
Well after 2 1/2 years of not preventing and about six months of trying to conceive we finally did it!! I am 6 days late for AF and yesterday I decided to POAS (pee on a stick), it was a Clearblue test that is suppose to show a + in the big window if you are pregnant and they have a little test window that is suppose to have a little line in it to tell you that the test worked. Well on my test I got some funny looking upside down T (which is almost a +) but the little test circle didn't have it's line, which means the test is NFG (no fucking good)!!! Grrr -- so I go to work and do nothing but think about this test all day .... should I step out and pick up another test to try and see? But if it comes up as + I'm not gonna want to sit around at work all day, waiting to go home to tell my DH!?! And if it's a - .... well that's even worse! I absolutely hated the idea of seeing another BFN (big fat negative)!!!

I waited, till the end of the day and stopped on my way home for more tests. Then I waited some more till this morning when I took my BBT (basal body temp), which had dropped from the days prior - which had me a little worried and I started thinking that I may as well not even bother testing. But I did anyway, First Response Early Results, and I saw two lines!! That's a BFP (big fat positive) in my books!!

So now I decided that I should start a journal to keep track of all my funny symptoms - everything I think you need to know!? Things that no one told me about! On that note I would like to recommend a book I have already read and thought was great !! "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" it told me lots of stuff that not even my bestest girlfriend told me! But I think there is more, more that the book didn't share, more dark and dirty secrets of pregnancy that nobody likes to talk about! ? Maybe I'm wrong but you will find out - in due time! ;) lol
