symptoms, feelings, all the crap you thought you knew and a few you might not have! I'm laying it all out on the table - even the dirty stuff! ;)

4 months
We have a banquet to attend at the end of the month and we are planning a sleep over!! Yes I am having anxiety issues over it (he is only 4 months old) but I know that if I am having a really hard time dealing with it my inlaws would not be surprised if I steal my baby back. Although I'm going try really really hard to not worry and to believe Jacob is in good hands and I will just be over really really early to pick him up!! ;) Things are still a little tough right now, I'm starting to think that this Mommy this is a snap but marriage and dealing with my hubby is the hard part! Hopefully everything will work out and eventually get easier. I'm a strong believer in the "rule of three", things seem to test you in three's and this is our third year of marriage!? When I quit smoking the hardest times were 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months and by 3 years you knew you were smoke free. I think this applies for most things in life and hopefully we will get through our third year of marriage with only a few issues.
Jacob's up from his afternoon nap so I must go attend to him, maybe work on rolling over?!

Things .....
** Sleepers with buttons are WAY too hard to do up at 2am or any early morning change so now whenever I see sleepers with zippers I pick up a few different sizes!
** It takes days or weeks to get into a routine and only moments to mess it all up! I was putting Jacob down at 8ish and he wouldn't wake up until 7ish a few weeks ago but then we got busy and took him out past his 8pm bedtime (mostly cause I wanted to get out of the house) and now I still put him down around 8ish but he wakes up at 5am!! That's a loss of 2 hours sleep!! :o I miss those 2 hours of sleep but I guess I can't complain too much he is sleeping about 9 hours every night which is great!!
Things that are happening with me ....
** I'm losing my hair! I remember my girlfriend telling me that she thought she was going bald after she gave birth to her son so I think this is just left over pregnancy hormones that are getting out of my system although my doctor thinks it's stress!?!
** I'm still haven't lost any weight since giving birth. The day after I had Jacob I lost 20lbs and was amazed but I'm still up 20lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I miss my skinny jeans and need to start focusing more on diet!! No more of those little chocolate bars!
** Speaking of diet.... It seems to me like I have way more cravings now then I did when I was pregnant! Maybe it's because now that my gallbladder is out I can eat what I want and not worry about having an attack?! Or maybe it's because I have been eating like crap and I know that the more crap I eat the more I will crave it!? Note to self: must eat more fruit and veggies! ;)
Things I have been working on ...
** Jacob's scrapbook! I really need to start it soon, I have everything laid out on the kitchen table with piles of pictures I just have to get at it before I forget all the feelings and moments that happened!
** I'm renovating the kitchen ... kinda? I decided that I need a project so that I'm not just sitting on the couch watching "Baby Stories" and "Bringing baby home"! So I bought some paint and new hinges/ handles and decided that this is my project. Although it is going to take me a while cause I can only work on it when Jacob is napping and lately that is only about an hour and a half twice a day!
Things that are happening with Jacob ...
** He can sit up by himself but I think that is only because he has a big butt!! he he He can sit for about 10 seconds before falling to the side but it's pretty impressive (to me anyway). I will have to take a pic next time so I can post it.
** He is trying very hard to roll over!! If he is lying on his back he makes this grunting noise like he is trying to do a sit up and I ask him if he wants to rollover (no I don't expect him to answer - that would just be weird LOL) then I grab his hand and he twists his body !! I have to help him but he seems quite happy when he flips over and usually lets out a loud coo!
Things I don't want to forget ...
** The little moaning sound he makes when he eats.
** The giggle that turns into a full out belly laugh then a high pitch squeal to finish it off.
** The way he grabs my shirt sleeve when I pick him up and carry him around.
** The way he plays with his hair and ear while he eats.
** The little noise he makes after he yawns.

Back on track
Well I feel better now, I think I just needed to get things off my chest and when hubby finally came home last night we talked and hopefully I got through to him about how I feel? Only time will tell and even though he is back at the track tonight doing some clean up stuff and probably won't be home till midnight (or later) I have hope that it will be over soon and he will focus more on us then his friends?! Speak of the devil .... he just called to say that they are finished at the track and are going out for coffees but he should be home by midnight (BS) but that is an improvement from before, at least he called to tell me!? So enough with the pity party ... I want to share something good!! Here is a video of Jacob having a great time in the tub, it looks to me like he really enjoys it and now I can hardly wait for swim class!! :) Hopefully you will enjoy too!!
This is a busy week for me, tomorrow is 10% Tuesday grocery shopping that I have to do first thing in the morning cause hubby says he needs to go back to the track (so I will take my sweet time going up and down every isle ~ shhh don't tell him that! he he). Wednesday Jacob has his 2nd round of immunization shots that I am making hubby come too (he can hold him again). I really need to clean my car before winter comes and would like to get that done this week. I have library books that need to be returned by the end of the week and I want to attend The Haunted Hike http://www.sherwoodparknews.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1231735 it is for a really good cause (The Stollery) and it sounds like a ton of fun!! However with our weather you never really know what next week will be like so I think it would be better to go sooner rather then later?! Hopefully Saturday we will get around to going!? Oh AND this weekend is Thanksgiving so we have dinners to attend! Busy busy! ;)
