Week 3 on IP




Well, it's week 3 on IP and I think things are going well. The weeks are definitely going by much faster then the first week (which seemed to drag forever!!). I am now down another -3lbs!! Making a grand total of 15.8lbs in 4 weeks, which averages out to almost 4lbs per week so if I can continue this trend then in only 8 more weeks I will be at goal!!! :D I'm super excited about that!! That means I have already finished 1/3 of my weight loss lifestyle and I am that much closer to my maintenance lifestyle!! I am right on the cusp of being in Onederland, which is also pretty exciting and last night she did my measurements again - I am down about 7 inches, about 2" all over (breast, tummy, bum), so at least I'm not going to look awkward (eg. tiny boobs large butt) LOL

So I have found out that having a cold while trying to stick to the IP diet is hard!! I can feel a cold coming on, my throat is dry and scratchy and normally I would make myself some honey lemon tea (I use lemon juice and honey, add hot water) and this usually does the trick and my sore throat feels better but I can't have honey cause it's pure sugar so the next best is lemon tea with Splenda. I can't have cough drops cause they are sugar candy, can't have cough syrup. I guess I could have some chicken broth but no Lipton soup or orange juice.

The worst part of getting a cold is that this weekend I have a retreat I have been very excited to go to for almost a year now. And now I will probably have the worst of my cold when I'm there? For this weekend I have already planned to go off IP for most of the weekend. I think I will still bring a few shakes and my shaker just in case I get the midnight munchies. I am going to try and stay away from the high carb foods (like if there are buns, toast, or chips) but I will be enjoying the Sunday brunch with other yummy food like eggs and bacon! I think I will also bring some of my salad dressing, in case we have salad one night cause not only do I like my dressing better it is also a better choice then most bottled dressings. I will pack my salt and vitamins and lots of water. I don't want to go too crazy this weekend but I do want to enjoy myself. I will be happy if I don't loose anything or gain either!
