Our holiday was good, Jacob was amazing on the flight - he seemed a little scared when we first got on the plane and changed his mind about wanting to fly but we held his little hands and he was great! He had no issues with his ears and seemed happy to watch a few movies, the six hour flight didn't seem that long. We didn't do too much while we were there, the resort was huge so that kept us busy for the first two days - trying to figure out where everything was and what restaurants we liked. This resort had 3 buffets (one Mexican, one Italian and one International) then it also had 4 or 5 a la carte. They had tons of things for the kids to do, including a daycare center that you could drop your kid off for a few hours if you wanted to, there was a water park for the kids and every evening a 'mini disco' to entertain the kids. We went on three tours, Xplorer - where we got to go on zip lines, swim in the caves and float on rafts. Hubby and I went to Coba by ourselves which was amazing and a great tour pack! Then all of us went to Xel-Ha where we floated down the river and did some snorkeling. Hubby and I went into Playa del Carmen for a fancy dinner by our self where he had a giant lobster tail and I enjoyed a Starbucks (I really missed my coffee). The flight home was a little harder then the one there, lots more kids and lots more noise! But we made it home, we all have a nice tan and the weather here will hopefully improve next week and all our snow will be gone! :) I think two weeks might have been a bit long with a 2 and a half year old and I'm not sure I would do two weeks at one resort again but it was a great experience and I am so grateful that the in laws were there to help with Jacob when we were getting a little stressed.
So I posted a couple pics, one of Coba - we climbed to the top! One is Jacob having some fun in the pool and the other is Jacob at the airport with his little backpack. He loved his backpack and wanted to drag it all over the place! It was so cute!
