Back from holidays

So, I'm back at work from my week off - we didn't go anywhere or really do anything for that matter. There was a big race at the track that hubby was in charge of so I planned on helping him get ready for it but that didn't quiet happen. I still took Jacob to his day home on his usual days (Tues-Thurs) but dropped him off late and picked him up early. Then we would go out to the track and walk around. We were kinda limited to where we could go cause kids aren't allowed in certain areas. And since hubby was very busy running the races we were kinda left alone at the trailer, it was kinda boring. It would have been nicer if Jacob had a friend to play with a I had a girlfriend to talk to, maybe next time!!??

Saturday we had our last gymnastics class, it was fun! I really enjoyed gymnastics and I think Jacob did too! Now we just have to decide if I want to register him for fall classes at the same gym he is at now or change to a gym that two of his little friends are registered at. But I will definitely be registering him in fall classes! After gymnastics we headed to my Grandmas lake lot to plant a tree and spread my Grandpas ashes.

Sunday we had a birthday party for one of Jacobs little friends, it was out of town and kinda a long drive but we had fun. Then when we got home I started the 100 loads of laundry from our holidays!!

So, over my week of holidays I must admit I ate horrible, BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, mini donuts, kettle corn, going out for breakfasts, stopping for Mc'd's or Timmies! I was expecting to see at least a 3lb gain on the scale Monday morning but SURPRISE!!! I actually only gained about 4oz!? So - in the one hand I'm very happy that I didn't gain really anything and I think it was good practice for when I have to do maintenance but in the other hand I'm worried that I will start thinking that it's OK to cheat. I still have about 30lbs I want to loose and I would really like to see it gone by the race tracks banquet in October! Which I think is do able, I just have to buckle down and stop cheating!!

Well, that is about all that is new .... I know it's been a week but I really haven't done much!? I think I need to start getting back into the gym habit, maybe tonight I will start going again? It's just so hard to go when it's so nice out and so hot in the gym!!

busy life = no workouts

We had a very busy weekend or rather we have had a busy few weeks! I haven't been to the gym in what feels like forever!? And I think it might be affecting my weight loss, I think I am getting cocky on this diet. I was having cheats and still loosing, I would miss going to the gym and seem to loose more then when I did go and now I think that has all caught up to me!? I got on the scale on Monday to see if my weekend was OK (like I do every Monday) and I was actually surprised to see that I had gained a couple ounces!? I know .... it's just a few ounces but last week I hadn't lost anything and now this week I gain a few ounces? I need to get back on track and stay focused! It's very hard to get a workout in this month we just seem so busy but I need to get back to my gym routine!

This weekend is Jacobs birthday and I still need to go shopping for the give away bags and food for the BBQ! I just realized now that I should also order a cake!! :o Plus we are trying very hard to finish Jacobs play park for the weekend! I called the lawn place today and the lawn is in so I'm very excited!! I was worried that something would happen and the truck would be delayed somewhere and we wouldn't get our lawn till the end of the week leaving us no time to assemble the park! But it looks like we are kinda on track and as long as the park isn't too hard to build it should be up and ready for the kids to play on!! :)

Last weekend after gymnastics we went out to St.Albert and checked out their Children's Festival, it was OK. I think it was a little advanced for Jacob but there was a nice lady that gave us a couple tickets for a show so we were able to go see a show, I think Jacob liked it - it was a music, grooving type show with drums and dancing. We were suppose to go to our company BBQ after but it was getting late so we headed to the track instead. Jacob seemed to like it out there, he did good in the trailer, it was the first time we slept in it and he slept just as good as he does at home! Sunday we had our Moms group bday party, which was more like a picnic in the park. It was nice to see all the Moms and kids again, we stayed for a couple hours then headed home for supper. I took some pictures of the kids playing and will post them as soon as I get them off my camera.

Last night we worked on the yard, even though it was raining! But I think it is worth it and really we have no choice! The yard has to be finished for Jacobs bday party this Saturday! I do not want 9 kids playing in a muddy yard or have everyone in my house~! Hopefully we can lay the lawn tonight and start building the play park tomorrow!!! :D

So hopefully I will go to the gym tonight for a bit, help lay the lawn when I get home and tomorrow I think we are having some friends over to help with build the park. Then Thursday I have to pick up all the last minute things for the party (food and goodie bags) cause Friday we have to work at the track and Saturday morning we have gymnastics!?!?! phew, makes me tired just thinking about all the things we have to get done!! Hopefully I don't forget anything?!? ;)

busy weekend ....

My weekend was exceptionally busy, starting with Friday... after work I had to drive out to the race track to work in the tower, it was the first race of the season and it actually went fairly well. Jacob had a sleepover at the inlaws Friday night and Saturday night - it was GREAT!! :D Saturday I went back out to the track to see what needed to be done and help out but couldn't stay long cause we had my Grandpa's memorial that day so I left before lunch to pick up Jacob and Grandma, we stayed at the memorial for a few hours. It was nice, more people then I thought showed up, considering Gpa passed away in Feb I didn't think too many people would see the ad in the paper about the memorial. Then I dropped Jacob back off at Gmas and headed back to the track, Sunday was spent at the track as well but it wasn't as smooth of a day, equipment broke, cars broke, truck hit the wall - there wasn't much racing done. I left early so that I could go to my FIL's bowling banquet, we used to bowl with the same league and it has been awhile since any of them had seen Jacob so I thought it would be nice to show him off. Jacob was good even with supper being an hour late!! :(

And that was pretty much it for my weekend, as for my meals ... it was so hard to stay on track being at the track (lol), I brought more "snack" type foods just incase I got the munchies and I'm glad I did cause if I didn't have the snacks I might have had some concession crap instead!? Friday night we all went out after the race for a social thing, they usually always go out after the race but I rarely go cause I am either too tired or don't want to be tempted to 'snack' when I'm not really hungry. I went ... and shared nachos with a friend .... felt like crap after and vowed to only go out with them once a month or until my willpower kicks in and I can resist the temptation!! :( My eating also sucked at my Gpa's memorial, I had a few bites of brownies and an extra sandwich or two! And then on Sunday I didn't quite stick to my L&G for supper since I was at the banquet but on Monday I weighed in to see how bad it really was and I was so surprised to see that I was down 2lbs?!? So, now I'm wondering if maybe I need to increase my calories or if I should allow a few extra snacks (like low fat yogurt or turkey pepperoni). I might try next week cause this week I won't be going to the gym that much this week so I don't think I need too many more calories. Hopefully the 2lbs stay till my weigh in day or more!! ;)

Last night I went out for coffee with a girlfriend I hadn't seen for awhile and tonight is grocery shopping day, I'm also going to try and fit a haircut in today. I started taking a "good" vitamin today and I'm looking forward to feeling better, not that I was feeling bad before but just feel more complete now. Jacob starts gymnastics this weekend and I'm super excited for him!! I think he will really like it!? That's about all that is new for me ... I'm still waiting for my 2nd order of WS!??! Maybe I should have ordered it sooner?! I'm almost out of bars and shakes? Hopefully it will get her by Thursday or I will have to figure out another protein snack instead of the bars!?

1st camping trip .... kinda

Well since hubby was at the track all weekend I thought it might be a good idea to ask the in laws to borrow their fifth wheel and Jacob and I could go and camp out at the track, this way we might actually be able to see Dad and maybe watch a little bit of the races!? Boy was I wrong!! I don't think it was a good idea, it would have been better if I had someone to hang around with or take turns watching Jacob. My in laws were nice enough to keep Jacob Friday for a couple extra hours AND gave him a bath just so I could pack everything I needed and not be tripping over a one year old! I ended up finishing packing early and had enough time to head out to the track, unpack, set up the playpen and then head back to get the dog and Jacob. Jacob passed out on the way to the track so he didn't end up going to bed till 10:30pm (2 hours later then normal) which I didn't really mind cause we were camping! But then hubby got in late and Jacob woke at 4am then again at 6am and I had a hard time falling asleep and if anyone knows me they know that lack of sleep does not agree with me! So needless to say I was cranky Sat but thought I would make the best of it. Jacob wouldn't nap in the trailer so we went for a drive which was OK cause then I got to stop for a coffee, which I really needed!! :) But as the day progressed the more grumpy I got and the more cranky Jacob got, I was frustrated cause I couldn't go watch the races (Jacob didn't want to sit for that long) so all I could do was walk the pits and look at cars. Then it rained and Jacob didn't want to hang out in the trailer and although the trailer is about 24 feet, after you get a playpen, a rottweiler and a one year old in there it becomes quite small fast! Thankfully it didn't rain long but it was very muddy out so Jacob couldn't walk by himself (not that he wanted to cause he was very clingy so I had to carry him a lot). I really wanted to give him a bath but hubby hadn't turned the propane on for hot water and I asked three people to give him a message but apparently no one did!? So I left .... we went home around 8pm, I gave Jacob a bath at home, I had a nice long shower after he went to bed and I crashed. I took all my frustration out on hubby, blaming him for my crummy time but now I'm thinking that I might have over reacted!? If no one gave him the message then it's not really his fault!? Anyway, I had a great sleep at home and then Sunday we went visiting and headed back to the track to finish packing everything up. I think I would have had a better time if I had someone to hang out with, walk with and trade off looking after Jacob!? I didn't even know until today that one of the guys I work with made it to the final round, wish I would have seen it?

So, then after I finished packing up the trailer and walking the pits, Jacob and I had lunch out at the track and we headed home. When I got home I noticed the dog was downstairs and thought it was odd of her to be downstairs, since she is getting older now and has a hard time going up or down stairs. I figured she must have went downstairs to cool off cause it was warm out, so I took three steps downstairs and realized why she was down there! It stunk ..... bad! She made a BIG mess, it took two rolls of paper towel, two plastic bags and two swiffers to clean up the mess!! It was disgusting and not really what I had hoped to do when I got home! She has been getting sick lots lately and I'm not too sure why!?

Needless to say, I was kinda excited to get back to work, so I could have a break! The weekend was a lot of work, you would think I should be skinny by now! ? Speaking of skinny .... I'm determined, I WILL go for a walk tonight and every night this week or at least get on the Wii for 30min every night!! I am also hoping that hubby will get my photos off the "sick" computer soon so I have more pics to post! But that's another story.....

Week 3

Well, things are going good at work, I am still enjoying my "me" time but I'm a little resentful of hubby. This is now week 3 of me back at work and he has only watched Jacob for 1 1/2 days!! And yes, he has been busy with stuff but it's all race stuff that he shouldn't really be doing cause it's not really his job and he doesn't get paid that good for it. The jobs in the garage are not getting done and most days when I get home the dishes are stacked high, toys are scattered everywhere and I have a pile of laundry to do! I told him I need more help from him so Mondays he is suppose to vacuum and I asked him to do a few other things today. There is a BIG race this weekend at the track and I already know that he will be MIA all week. I feel like he doesn't really want us around him at the track, I am always the one that has to suggest ways for us to be together as a family (like borrowing his parents trailer so that I can camp out there this weekend and be with him in the evening) or I have to figure out how to get a sitter so I can join him on weekend activities (which I still haven't figured out so I sit at home while he goes out with friends). I feel bad for my MIL who often gets stuck with Jacob and even though I know she enjoys it (most times) she shouldn't have to watch him that much, I think he needs to step up a bit more and look after Jacob. But on the plus side at least I know when Jacob is over at Grandmas she is making sure he is fed good and she takes him outside to play. Hubby is still unsure on what to feed Jacob and on days like today when it's not so nice out he will just stay in the house where I would go to a indoor play park or even the mall just to get out and have some contact with other people~?!

Jacob's new thing now is screaming! And I don't like it!! I try and whisper too him, which usually makes him laugh so he stops yelling but if he wants something or doesn't want something he is very persistent and will yell till he gets it! He also likes to point to things now and I tell him what they are, he really likes lights and things up high.

Well, I was able to get mostly everything I wanted done this weekend and I even got to sleep in Saturday morning thanks to my in laws!! I returned the outfits Jacob got for his birthday that were either too small or the size he is in now but since I had no receipt or even gift receipt I only got the last sale price on all items (which was about 30% less then reg price), I ended up getting Jacob a small couch (the one that folds out to a bed) I was surprised to see that they are $50 so that was pretty much my entire gift card spent on one item! I also bought him his potty seat and I'm trying to find him a sippy cup that he will use for milk! I think it's time to wean him off the bottle (at least for day time feedings) but he doesn't seem to like any sippy cup I have tried! ? My cupboards are stocked with almost every kind, I think he might just skip the whole sippy cup stage and just go straight to a cup with no lid (he's actually pretty good at it and doesn't make too much of a mess if you help him drink).

Other then that not much else is new, I get Wednesday off for Canada Day but I will be really busy trying too get everything ready for our "camping" weekend at the track. Hubby won't be home all week so I think I will be more tired this week, I will feel like a single Mom! Good thing his parents are so nice and invited me to stay for supper all week!! That's one less thing I have to do by myself!! :D

Back to "work"! :(

Well, good news bad news I suppose~? I'm back at work which I thought I would be super excited for but I find myself more emotional about it then I thought I would be! The weekend was good but bad, good cause I was able to go out with friends, work at the track and have a little fun before heading back to work but bad because it was my last weekend before going back to work and I felt guilty for spending it away from Jacob! I was emotional and it didn't take much to get me upset on the weekend, I think I took it out on my hubby but we got through it. I'm glad I worked at the track it was fun but it also reminded me that there is LOTS of drama and politics behind the scene that not too many people see and I don't think I'm interested in seeing it again!

So needless to say I over indulged on the weekend, everyone just kept giving me treats - like mini donuts, cinnamon buns, kettle popcorn, cake, etc. Well, when I got on the scale this morning it was horrible!! But now I am back on track, following a plan and since I'm at work I can't keep checking out the snack cupboard so hopefully I can get into a routine and get back into my skinny pants!!!

Our computer at home still has a virus, so I can't empty the pics on my camera and therefore have no pics to post! :( But hopefully hubby will fix the computer today along with all the other things he has to do and I can post pics! I'm so worried that I might loose all the pics I already put on the computer, I wish I would have made a hard copy!! I have pics of Jacob at the water park and his 1st haircut that I want to post!!

Yes, he had his 1st haircut on Thursday and yes, he freaked out a bit! Not as bad as I thought and I think he just got tired of sitting there. I have video and pics I will post. He looks like such a little man now, especially when he plays with his toys.

O-so back to the good news part .... now that I'm back at work (Boooo!) I will be able to post more updates on here! So keep checking back to see what is new! It's only 11am now and already I'm wishing I was on my way to pick up Jacob! His actual birthday is tomorrow, we will probably go for supper and I will pick up a small cake because his party is on Saturday and we will have a big cake for then! Then on Wed, I booked Jacob for some professional pics - hubby said it wasn't necessary but I want 1st year pics!

Well, back to work..... I will probably post more tomorrow! :)

Friday the 13th!

So far things seem to be going fairly well, I'm no more uncomfortable now then I was last week and I don't really feel any different - I don't think anything will be happening any time soon!? Which kinda sucks cause technically next week would be a perfect time for baby to make their big appearance. My MIL has said from almost day one that June 17th will be the day, I'm not sure how she picked this day but I would be OK with having a baby on that day. More likely though I will be a week late and baby won't be making any appearance until July 2nd (ish). I have noticed my appetite is not as big as before, I guess that means that baby is done growing? I forgot to mention yesterday that I feel like I am right on track with the weight gain, so far I have gained just over 40lbs which is exactly where I thought I would be. I am surprised that my belly button has stayed put and has not popped out and I never did get that line down my belly? I guess some women don't get it and I'm definitely not disappointed that my button has stayed in (I think that would feel really uncomfortable - virgin skin rubbing on my clothes all the time!).

I stopped at hubbies aunts house yesterday (finally), to drop off some more flannel for the diapers she is making. Apparently we never cut enough large white flannel diapers, so we had a short visit and she gave me the four dozen large diapers that she has already made and said she would get to the other dozen in a few weeks. I don't think there is a big panic for the large diapers yet, the small ones should fit for a few months (I hope?).

I love getting off work early, I feel like I hubby gets so much done!! ;) We have been having dinner early and then usually relax for an hour and then he usually gets to work. Yesterday he did lots, he installed the floor (it went in quick and only took about an hour), then vacuumed the carpet. OK so maybe now that I write it down it was only two things but it felt like we did lots!? he he I got to sweep the new floor (so at least I feel like I helped) and I did a few loads of laundry, then made banana bread! Friends of ours came over last night too for a short visit, it was nice to see them again - they live kinda far away so we don't get to visit as often as I would like.

So the plan for the next few days is .... doctor appointment today (which I'm pretty excited about -- I will probably never say that again!?), then racing tonight (if it doesn't rain?). Tomorrow is a big "Father's Day Funny Car Show" at the track, it will be an all day all night event so I hope I can get through it OK? I'm a little concerned about the show, these cars are loud, fast and give off a vibration when they are full throttle so I'm a little worried that they might induce something but if that happens at least there is a ambulance on hand if needed! Sunday is the same show but since it is Fathers Day it will be free admission so it should be a full house! Hopefully by Monday hubby can paint the floor boards/ chair rail and Monday night he can put it in the room and install the closet organizer. Then all that is left to do is set up the crib and put all the clothes away! :)

Another week at work

Well my doctor appointment went well on Friday, she was running late as usual and I had to sit in that tiny room for like 20 minutes waiting for her (I almost laid down for a nap!!). Every time she sees me now she asks if I'm tired, I think I just look extra tired from being bored but yes ... I am more tired now then before. She never did do a internal, probably cause she thought I was still only 36 weeks along?! She is a really nice doctor and all but sometimes I wish she would maybe look at my file before seeing me!? But even though she didn't do an internal she seems to think that I still have another 4 weeks to go!! :o In a way I hope not, I'm very un-comfy but in a way it would be OK - more time to get things put in place!! So this Friday might not be my last day, I don't want to sit at home too long waiting - I think I would go stir crazy! ;) O - on a plus note, I asked about my GBS test and she said it came back negative so I don't need a IV for that, only if I choose a epi.

After my doctor appointment I headed home for a very quick power purr, then headed out to the track just to find out that it was raining out there. After two hours of trying to dry the track we were ready to race .... just in time for it to start raining again!! We never did get any cars to go down the track, called the race and headed home! But of course it now too late to go shopping or even work on baby room. Saturday we headed out to the track and I would have put money on the fact that we would be home by noon, due to rain, but no - it never did rain and there wasn't very many cars there so I thought at least we would get out of there early!? But no - that didn't happen either, the very last car oiled down the track and hubby had to stay and clean it up! However this didn't stop me from taking him shopping still, even though he was "tired"!! Too bad - we are going shopping!! ;) We bought almost everything for babies room except the baseboards, chair rail and flooring. These items we found in a flyer for a good price at Timbertown that is only open on weekdays so we will go buy them tonight. And the blind machine thing at Home Depot was out of order so we couldn't get the blind.

Sunday we were back at the track only until noon though cause we were rained out. After four hours of the guys working on the track to get it race ready they decided to call the race cause the track just wasn't drying!? When we got home I let hubby relax for a couple hours then put him to work installing the ceiling fan and new decor plugs/ switch's. Unfortunately we forgot to buy a bulb for the fan so we couldn't see what it looked like lite up. I hung some pics on the wall (using the old holes that were in the wall already) and took the tape off the wall, I actually think the room looks awesome even though it's not done yet! I can hardly wait till it's finished!! :) However hubby is a little stressed about it, he over booked himself with projects this week and needs to finish a few things for customers by Thursday so my plan and his plan don't really work together!! I was hopping that tonight we go shopping, tomorrow he can paint the baseboards etc., and then on Wed we can put it all together (install the floor, closet organizer and chair rail etc.). Then Thursday put the crib together and I could put everything in it's place!! But I don't think hubby will have the time to do all that this week, he agreed to go shopping but said he has to finish these projects so he might not have time to paint or install the floor till next week!! :o Nothing like leaving things to the last minute!?

So far so good!

I am almost 37 weeks and almost everyone I have run into says I "look bigger" then I did last week - like lots bigger! They all think that baby will be coming soon, I do have to agree with them, I feel bigger and I am having some ligament pain again so I'm thinking that baby is dropping. It is way harder now to bend and get up off the couch/ out of bed, my shoe lace came undone on the weekend and I could barely tie it back up and after I did I was huffin and puffin! ;) I would like to get one more belly pic done before baby is here so I'm thinking I should do that this week.

I feel like I am more emotional now then I have been all pregnancy, it sure doesn't take much to upset me or piss me off!! The arm drop thing went fairly well for the most part, it seemed really disorganized with quite a bit of "down time" where there were no cars to race but I think most people had a good time!!? You could tell that by Sat the staff were getting tired and snappy, the track manager who is usually kinda grumpy and snappy on a good day was more grumpy and snappy then usual - which really sucked! She yelled at me, which really wasn't anything new cause she tends to blow her gasket a lot and I know usually means nothing by it but this time I lost it. It really upset me, I was in tears and told hubby what had happened and he was so mad he was about to run upstairs and hand in his radio and walk out!! But we never, she eventually said sorry and we carried on with the show - I'm sure it was just my hormones that made me so upset. Then on Sun, hubby left early to get stuff ready at the track and I tried calling him to ask a question on his cell but he never answered. I tried three times, normally this wouldn't be a big deal I would just figure he was busy and couldn't hear his phone but it really pissed me off this time! What if I was having labor pains!!? What if there was something wrong!?! Of course there wasn't, I just had to ask a simple question but when I got to the track I told him that if he doesn't answer his phone out there then he can no longer work out there!! He seemed to think I was over reacting at first until I said something to him about how I would never let him live it down if he missed his only child's delivery!! Anything could happen now - there is only 3 weeks left!!

Other then racing we really didn't do too much on the weekend, tonight is our hospital tour - at the hospital I want to deliver at. And tomorrow is grocery day, I will probably go by myself cause I want hubby to paint. Then on Wed I would like to go shopping for hardwood and hopefully rip the rug out on Thursday, then install the wood next week - unless the races get rained out this weekend then we can do that on the weekend!! So maybe everyone should do a little rain dance for me? ? Just don't tell my hubby! he he

Another busy day

Another busy day today, I am at work now till probably close to 11am - then off to my 36 week doctor appointment. Which will hopefully be quick and hopefully she will have my test results or I might have to do the GBS test again!? Then I will head back to work for three hours, head home to let the dog out for a quick pee and off the the track till probably 11pm? Hubby was out at the track yesterday for most of the day and didn't crawl into bed till 12:30am then his alarm went off at 5:30am and he was headed out the door again to go back! I told him he was nuts, something I couldn't do - only get 5 hours of sleep and just to work another 18 hour day!! :o But he enjoys working out there and he does get paid to be out there so it's not like he is loosing any money by not working on cars or reno's!? I figure it is better to let him do the things he wants like this now instead of after baby is born, cause who knows how I will be feeling and I might really need his help then, I don't want him to think that this baby is going to stop him from still enjoying the things he likes and plus he gets kinda cranky when I nag him too much! he he

Hubby did make sure to fix my tap and vacuumed before he left yesterday so I was happy about that. Except the end of the hose had the wrong kind of fitting on it and I couldn't use the flower sprayer (the one that is like it's raining) so I had to use my thumb to give them a spray. I finished getting the dog smears off the window, did a couple loads of laundry and cleaned the bathrooms!! :o So I should be good for the housework for another week!? I guess I was wrong too about being finished baby laundry, I forgot that my SIL had given me a bunch of bibs and receiving blankets that she no longer needs. I also packed babies bag last night!! I really have no idea what to put in it so I put 3 diapers with 3 liners and one rubber pant, a receiving blanket, a fuzzy soft blanket, and two outfits just in case one gets messed on before we leave the hospital. I'm not sure if I missed anything? I assume that the hospital will have any other items I may have missed? We learned in baby class that you shouldn't put baby in the rubber pants right away in case of chafing and their sensitive skin? I hate how all information you get is contradicting and there will always be someone that says it's not good or wrong?

Busy night

I feel like I had a busy night last night, I had to take a delivery on the way home then stopped at the grocery store to get a few lunch items which made me late getting home but it was OK cause hubby wasn't home anyway. He was off at the race track trying to get it all ready for this weekends races. I had a quick bite to eat then started with laundry, I think I am now officially finished washing all babies bedding/ clothes - it will probably be the first and only time I will ever be "finished" baby laundry. Then I headed outside to plant my flowers that I purchased almost a week ago, they were starting to look a little ill. Marigolds, pansy's and petunia's - I bought two flats from Costco, $10 each flat, so they didn't cost very much but half way through planting them I was wondering what the heck I was thinking buying sooooo many flowers!! :o Not only was I running out of places to plant them but my back was killing me and I was huffing and puffing so bad, I think it has more to do with just being pregnant - I am really out of shape! I can't wait to get back into a walking routine, a walking routine that consists of more then a 20 minute walk! ;) I also realized half way through planting my half dead pansy's that I should probably give them a good watering before I go back inside but ..... hubby had disconnected the water taps outside when he was renovating the basement so we have no working water taps outside!?!? How am I going to water these stupid flowers now!? I really don't want to make 100 trips in and out of the house to fill up my watering can!

When I finished planting all my flowers I was just about to sit down to relax when an old friend pulled up outside. We had a good, short visit and will hopefully see each other again next weekend at our friends wedding. So hubby is suppose to reconnect the water tap outside today so that I can give them a good soak tonight and I also asked him to vacuum so that all I have left to do is dust, windows and bathrooms. Sometimes I think having a dog is just as bad as having a toddler, she presses her nose against the window and leaves smears all over them, brings dirt in from outside and doesn't pick up any of her toys! ;) Tomorrow is my 36 week doctor appointment, it will probably be the same as all the other appointments, hopefully she has my GBS test results back?! I can't believe I have less then 30 days now ..... I am in the 20's! ! It's exciting and scary all at the same time, part of me can't wait to get to the end and the other half wants to go back to the beginning and have another few months to get stuff done?

Time to get packed!!

The pressure is on now to get my bag packed! At our last baby class on Monday we had a "surprise" visitor, it was one of the couples in our class - they had their baby last week!! It was four weeks early! Which makes me realize that anything can happen and maybe I should really get on that bag packing thing!? At least now I have a baby bag to pack! ;) I feel like we (I mean hubby - he he) got lots done yesterday, when I go home from work the front yard was nicely mowed and trimmed (same with the back yard) and hubby greeted me at the door asking if I wanted to go out for dinner!? Well you don't have to ask me twice, I'm always up to going out for dinner!! :) After dinner we cleaned out the "soon to be" baby room, I put away all my scrapbook stuff and hubby got started on priming the room! It is now officially primed, it looks funny though cause we had to buy a tinted primer for the bottom of the room (that I want to paint deep red) so now the top part of the room is regular white primer and the bottom is bright pink!! I think hubby must have been feeling a little guilty cause yesterday was probably the last time I will see/ talk to him till next week. He will be busy this week with the "Pinks" guy coming to town and having the "arm drop" races this weekend. So we won't be able to put a first coat on the walls till probably next Tuesday! :o

My house is a complete disaster right now, with the basement half finished and still messy there is no where to put anything down there so everything from the "soon to be" baby room went into the office which is now so full you can't even sit in the chair. Then I had to put some baby stuff in the kitchen along with the dogs toy box and some of my scrapbook stuff had to be shoved under the bed - just to get them out of the way! I think you could probably write your name on almost every piece of furniture and don't even get me started on the bathrooms!! I'm still waiting for this "nesting" thing everyone talks about? Maybe I won't get my sudden burst of energy and go crazy with the cleaning? I hope I do, I really need to clean but I'm just to tired after work and the only way I can clean now is if I go really slow and take my time!?

I had to throw away all my low fat banana muffins this morning, when I went to grab one for my lunch I noticed there was fur on them!? I guess now that summer is here I can no longer leave things like that out on the counter, I just assumed they would be like cookies - you leave those in the cupboard? So now after work I need to stop at the grocery store and pick up a few things for lunches. I would also like to plant my flowers tonight and maybe do a load of laundry, since I will be home alone. I also need to still pick up a few nessecities for baby (although I'm not too sure when I'll have time for that) -- I need a diaper pail still and I forgot to get a change table pad cover. O - and I need a few bottles (just in case the breastfeeding thing doesn't work very well).

Weekend ....

Once again it was a busy weekend, full of racing - Friday after work I headed straight to the track for the Street Legal races. There were quite a few cars, probably more then the week before, fortunately though it seemed like everyone had somewhere else to be in the evening and the cars were leaving early, so we got out of there just before 11pm. Hubby headed straight to his quad rally thing (about a 3 hour drive) and I headed home. Saturday I went back to the track, it was a horrible race day, everything seemed to go wrong. Everything from the generator not starting and staying running to cars breaking and one even hit the wall!! Needless to say it was a super long day, we didn't even get to finish half of the program that was suppose to happen which meant that everything was to be carried over to Sunday! So Sunday was also a long day, we had to finish off the races that were started on Sat, plus do our regular races and we had the same issues as Sat - cars breaking and another one hit the wall!! :o Hopefully there aren't too many more accidents, it doesn't make the track look very good when there are accidents all the time, people will start to blame the track!?

So besides racing I didn't really do too much else, when I got home Sat after the crappy day at the track there was a gift bag at our back door. It was from my MIL - a "soon-to-be" mother's day gift!! There were 3 LED solar light things in the bag, I haven't seen them lite up yet but they look really nice!? Last night I thought it felt like this baby was trying to push my belly button out!! It actually kinda hurt, I wish I could tell the kid that it doesn't matter how much you push on the walls ... my belly just isn't going to get much bigger (hopefully)!? ;) I feel like baby is more active now then I have ever felt before, which I suppose is a good thing cause if I didn't feel much movement I would be super paranoid that something was wrong with our little one?! Tonight we have another baby class but this week is the hospital tour, I think we will go for the beginning of the class (the post-partum talk) but we won't stay for the tour - there is really no need to take a tour of a hospital that we won't be giving birth at!? Instead I am going to call my hospital today and book an appointment for that. I got woke up this morning with more leg cramps - they suck! I guess I didn't drink enough water yesterday, the worst part was that it was only about 15 minutes before my alarm was to go off so I just got up! :(

We have a new guy starting today at work, he is to be trained to replace me when I go on mat leave. I'm pretty sure I've worked with him before at another parts store, he's kinda weird!? He is has "American pride" which is totally fine, I guess but I just wish he would stop telling me about all his stories!? Even his cell phone rings the American anthem!? I feel like telling him that if he likes the States so much then why is he living in Canada!? I have Canadian pride and hate when "aliens" figure we need to change just to suit them!?

33 week doctor appt.

Today I had my 33rd week doctor appointment at 10:00am, so I came in to work for an hour then left and now I'm back at work! The appointment went well, my regular doctor was back from her vacation so things were a little slower then last time, my BP was 127/77 (not too bad), no protein or sugar in the urine and babies HB was 130bpm (a little low but maybe it was nap time?) Baby is still head down which is good but doesn't really matter too much at this point cause there is still lots of time for baby to do summer salts!? I asked the doctor about episiotomy's, which we were learning about in baby class, I would really like to avoid this procedure and only have it done if baby is in distress - which is exactly what she told me she does (only if baby is in distress). I booked my next four appointments, so the next one is in two weeks and then I go every week after that!! Next appointment is the GBS test (Group B Strep), which I have heard is common to test positive for and can be very harmful for the baby so if you test positive you will get shots every four hours before baby arrives.

There is racing again tonight and all weekend for that matter! However hubby decided to go on a quad rally out of town tomorrow instead of working at the track! :o I however will still go out and work Sat/ Sun, it's extra money - which is always nice~!! Speaking of money, I got my tax refund in the mail the other day, also for the full amount I figured out!! :) So that makes hubbies return over $1300 and my return was over $1900 - pretty good if I say so myself!! Still haven't got my pink slippy thing so I can get my registration but I can always just go in and pay for a sticker, it's not a huge deal. I also forgot to mention that the other day when I was grocery shopping I picked up some "Grapple's" they look like a apple but smell like grape Kool-Aid and have a slight grape flavor to them. They are pretty good, kinda like the apple pears or Asian pears - really juicy and not too sweet, although I'm not sure if I will buy them again - you only get 4 for $4 ? Kinda expensive and I think I like the apple pears better, but these were nice for a change? I've been working on my lists, one for what to pack in my bag, one for babies bag and one list of things I still need to buy in order to pack our bags! The lists really aren't' as long as I thought they would be which makes me wonder ..... am I forgetting something ? I don't really know what the "must haves" are? You know the things you must have before baby comes home! ? So far I've come up with:

1- car seat

2- diapers/ rubber pants

3- sleepers/ under shirts

4- coming home outfit

5- wipes/ lotions

6- bottles/ formula (just in case)

7- receiving blankets

and that's about all!? I don't want to buy too much until after my baby shower (which I'm still not sure if I will have one?) So if you think I missed something please help!! ;)

Weekend review

Wow - am I awfully grouchy today!! The day didn't quite start off good and has kinda been going to sh*t all day!! We were low on milk this morning and I guess hubby figured his hunger out weighed baby and mine so he finished off the milk, meaning I had no milk for my breakfast cereal!? grrrr So on the way to work I had to stop and pick up a small milk so I could eat my breakfast at work! Then at work my computer takes almost a half hour to boot up and of course the phone was ringing off the hook! Then my mouse wasn't working so we traded that for a different one and I decided to clean my desk to burn off some steam, so now I'm not as grumpy and I have a clean desk! But I feel like any minute now I could become grumpy again! :P

Anyway - my weekend was pretty good, Friday night we did end up racing - the first Street Legal race of the year! There were 118 cars that showed up, a good car count! Then Saturday and Sunday were the faster cars, I don't think there was as many cars as Friday but it was kinda nice that way cause then we got to take more breaks. Only one bad accident on Saturday, a roadster hit the wall and destroyed his car but he walked away OK. He probably won't be back for the rest of the year?! Friday night I had the worst leg cramp I have ever had in my life, it went from my butt cheek all the way to my ankle!! It was horrible and ever since my calves have been tender, especially in the evening, they seem to cramp up more then before which apparently is common in pregnancy and I kinda expected!? We have baby class again tonight, I'm not too sure what we are doing this class but we are suppose to bring two pillows ? Then tomorrow night is grocery shopping day and of course it seems like we are out of everything so it will probably be a big bill! That's about all that's new (I think?) -- it's pretty busy at work today so I have to keep it short!

1st Race of the year

Today is the first Street Legal race of the year, or at least they are going to try and get a race going!? It was suppose to be nice out, with a high of +15 but it is very cloudy right now and I can't imagine it getting that nice out unless the sun comes out?! So after I'm done at work I will head to the track and wait to see if the races are a go!? My only concern with going out there is meals, they also want to try and have racing on Saturday and Sunday as well so that means I need figure out what I'm doing for supper tonight and lunches Sat/Sun! ? It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't on a restricted diet and could just grab a burger at the concession but I think if I was to do that it would send me straight back to the hospital with another gallbladder attack. And seeing's how there isn't really a lunch room with a microwave or even toaster oven I think I am stuck eating sandwiches? I can't think of anything else that is low fat and doesn't need to be warmed up, unless I just eat fruits and veggies but I think I'm going to want more then that, something warm would be nice considering it is still chilly after the sun goes down! I guess I'll figure it out but it's times like this that make me wish that Fridays and weekends were "cheat" days that I didn't have to think about diet and I could just stop at McDonalds!?

I'm kinda grumpy today, I think my emotions are starting to get the best of me, things that never really bothered me too much seem to be building up and I feel like I'm going to pop .... emotionally! Last night when I took the dog for a walk I was extremely frustrated with her, she is a little aggressive towards other dogs - I don't think she means to come across as a complete b*tch, I'm sure she just wants to play with them and she never used to be as bad as she is now or maybe I just notice it more cause I'm worried about walking her and the stroller at the same time!? So anyway ... last night we go for a walk down one of the trails close to home and of course there are other dogs that walk this trial so she sees one and starts growling (which I could handle) but then she starts pulling, which wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't a 90lb Rottweiler and I wasn't 8 months pregnant! So I sit her down, give her crap for being so aggressive and just as we get up to go again another dog comes around the corner and gets her going again! I have a pinch collar for her, which is like a choke chain but has little teeth like things on the inside that pinch her when she pulls but when she gets excited I swear her neck thickens and she doesn't even feel the pinch. I have to wait for her to settle down a bit before I pull the leash, then she makes a little yelp. I just don't think I will be able to handle her and the stroller when she acts up and I don't see things getting any better over the next 7 weeks!? I also don't see my hubby helping me out with her either, he never goes for walks with me even though they are usually only 20 -30min walks. I think I'm just frustrated, I feel like there is so much to do and we have so many things planned for this summer and then I have the worry of my pay getting chopped in half but I still want to fix things this summer.

I called AB health today to get a new card cause I can't seem to find mine since hubby took it to the hospital the first time I had a gallbladder attack and I think it might be something I need soon! So while I was on the phone with the lady I asked about adding a dependant when baby is born and how we do that?! It was super easy - they pretty much do it for you ... you just have to call and tell them what babies name is but I was so shocked at the price!? I'm not sure what I was expecting, I guess I thought that since they are a little person that the health coverage on them would be little too but no .... it costs the same for a dependant as it does for an adult so that means that for a family of 3 our health care bill is going to be almost $400 every 3 months!! :o I don't think we would qualify for subsidy cause I make more then the minimum never mind adding hubbies income! It sucks - I can't imagine what large families do!? Here is just another reason to not have any more kids .... it's just too expensive!

Weekend review ....

Well we had a fairly busy weekend and I know I didn't get my belly pic posted .... hopefully tonight! ;) Instead we had friends over on Friday night, Saturday we had a meeting at the race track with all the employees that are returning. It was nice to see our "summer" friends again and of course everyone was curious to see just how big I am, they haven't seen me since we made our announcement and I wasn't even showing yet! The meeting lasted a lot longer then I thought it was going to be, all the boys ended up getting put to work while the girls stood around and talked! ;) By the time we left it was almost 2 and I was starving so we went for lunch with everyone and didn't get home till close to 4pm!! Sunday I managed to get some of my housework done but since it was so nice out I decided to leave my indoor chores and do stuff outside. I cleaned my car, inside and out, did a little racking, went for a haircut and went shopping to Costco and the bookstore. I picked up a baby name book so we can finally maybe get one picked out? And I picked up "Life Laughs" by Jenny McCartney ~ the same author as "Belly Laughs", it was on sale for $5.00 and I really liked the other book so I figured I couldn't go wrong! ;)

5 pin bowling ~ playoffs

Last night was the first night of playoffs and we didn't do too well. I think we are in last place, not that it's a huge deal to me, I don't really care what place I come in but it is nice to be able to pick your prize before all the good ones are gone!? I'm not really a competitive type person when it comes to sports, I remember when I was younger and involved in Judo I would just stand there and wait for the other competitor to make the first move. After all my parents always taught me that it's not nice to throw the first punch! ;) And of course I would get my butt kicked and never win! :( Except at one tournament .... I actually one .... 3rd place!! I was so excited until my brother informed me that there were only 3 girls in my weight category ~ therefor winning by default! But I still have that 3rd place trophy and still believe that I 'won' it~! ;) So anyway, there is only one more week left of bowling (thankfully), then the following week is our bowling banquet and the weekend after that is racing!! Not even one week off.... I'm still uncertain if I am going to be working at the track, the extra money is always nice especially since it is kinda under the table and it won't affect my mat. pay. But then I think about leaving my newborn baby only weeks old for 8 + hours and wonder if I will be able too, I will hopefully still be breast feeding then and I know that baby will be hungry every three hours or so and being a first time mom (which have been known to have a little separation anxiety issues) .... I'm just not sure!?

I got hubby to take a pic of me yesterday so now all I need to do is get it on the computer!! :) I was comparing my 21 week pic to this one (29 weeks) and I am amazed at the size difference! Hopefully you will get to see them this weekend!? ;)

**** I forgot to mention yesterday that I am not Rh-, the doctor informed me that I am A+ blood type which I had no idea and just kinda assumed I was O (one of the more common ones) and I think hubby is A- so everything is good for the Rh factor! :) ****
